Since contemporary dining rooms typically have a clean, modern and sort of minimalistic look, sideboards are not seen often in modern homes. They remain a standard feature of traditional dining rooms as they emphasise the overall traditional style and give the dining area a touch of warmth which in turn creates a unique atmosphere.
